Not a picture I'd usually post. But I rented a Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 for a Formula 1 race this weekend in Austin, TX. I just walked around the woods to make sure everything was functioning properly.
The deer were hiding like crazy.. So I couldn't get any clean shots. But I am pretty impressed by Autofocus speed.
@SquamishPhoto, I always enjoy how your model's clothing enhances your portraits with color. As for me, I usually say something like "wear something fun, fashionable, something you feel good wearing." What I've gotten in 4 of the last 5 female portrait sessions: (1) gray skirt, white top, (2) black & white stripped stretchy sundress (3) all gray dress, (4) all black dress. Guess I should be happy that they're agreeing to shoot with me since it's costing me nothing and I'm gaining experience. OK, I'm done moaning. Nice photo, by the way.
I ditched my 24mm as I absolutely hated it. I got an awesome deal on the Sigma 35mm f1.4. From the second I popped it on my D800 I couldn't stop smiling. What a lens!
Great November shots on PAD. We just returned from the NYC Marathon where my father-in-law ran this year. Central park foliage was turning. My son playing on the finish line.

Thanks!
And I do run into that issue from time to time, but I have a couple corporate clothing clients and I often have nice bright colours in the trunk with me so I can often save myself from people with no appreciation for colour and patterns.
