The little starbursts on the lights are perfect. Capuchin monkey responding to someone smiling at him, which was interpreted as a threat gesture. The gesture was returned.

From my midnight shoot the other day. It was cold, but the sky looked really nice, and we did see some Northern Lights, though not a lot... Moonlight provided the "flash" effect.

@henrik1963 - Greenland is no more expensive than any other remote destination. EUR800 to get to Nuuk from Copenhagen, and then add hotels and meals. For photography, go to Ilulissat where you can see the UNESCO World Heritage site (most productive glacier in the world), dogsled, and stay in an "iglo". Go in the springtime to get it all:)

Ice carving. Unfortunately could not get the angle I wanted.
This carving shows Bucky Badger, University of Wisconsin mascot and the USA metal count at the Olympics. Yes the metal count is real old, the shot was from Feb 16th.

Last shot from the other night... It wasn't a full moon, but it was so strong I had to play around with exposure. I needed the long shutter time to really get the blue in the sky (which was of course pitch black at midnight).
