This is not what I had lined up for the shoot and the idea was a last minute one from the model. She's a fitness model preparing for a local pageant. I also think she's slightly crazy as it was 10 degrees out.
Those Ice Lights are definitely pricey but I can definitely see where rigging up 2 or more would create some cool catchlights in the eyes among a multitude of other uses.
Here's my first real Joel Grimes inspired composite. Pardon the similarity to one of his most famous creations. This in itself is a lesson in lighting, composition, shadows, angles, and more. Background shot at Delray Beach in Florida : D800; Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 @ 14mm; f/8. Subject photographed in a studio environment, white backdrop: D800; Nikon 24-70mm @ 31mm; f/7.1. I shot 2 or 3 dozen angles and exposures of the landscape as well as her in several poses.
My overall goal was to get Rembrandt lighting on her face, edge lighting on the right arm and shadows on the left arm and body. Also keeping the shadow detail around her torso was key in showing her fitness.
Tried to focus stack to the limit. 39 exposures. F8 1/60 D800 with built in flash in commander mode, two off camera strobes in slave, iTTL flash durations. Large file sizes were not really a problem for my macbook pro.

Thanks Mark ^^, that's what I'm talking about! What a beauty.
Before the Valentines Day roses went into the garbage, I gave my wife a little art for her cellphone. D800; Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG HSM; @ f/2.5; 1/20; ISO 400 Thanks for all who've already commented on Flickr.
I used @msmoto@golf007sd suggestion and raised the camera up high with a monopod.
It was kinda hard trying to balance the camera. I used a wireless remote to trigger the camera. I know the owner and his buddy gave me access inside the rope area.

Saw the note that you wish you had five of them. How many do you have, 2?
