@proudgeek, I may take you up on the Arches Park recommendations. That is if I can get away from work long enough to get down there. Here's one from Big Cottonwood Canyon looking toward Salt Lake City. We were in a hurry so I had to shoot fast and jump back in the car.
Not posted any in pad in ages.....no new pictures due to work pressure...but keep track of great pictures on pad from time to time and make comments on flicker pages..... I post a pix from 2012...attempt at BIF from my backyard.. D800, Nikon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 @ 300mm, ISO 640, 1/2000, f5.6
This is what a Lettered Olive looks like when goes foraging through the sand after the tide has gone out. For reference, this snail's shell was about the length and diameter of my thumb.
Hmm. My Windows is still buggy. This pic is a metaphor for what I may have to do to my Windows install ...
p.s. - nice "blood moon" shot, TTJ.

@ TTJ: nice one amigo. @kanuck: Really have enjoyed the manner in which you shot this structure...well done. @proudgeek: The mood this image creates is powerful. Needless to say, great shot!

D7100, Nikon 80-400 II, f/9.0, 1/640, ISO320, 400mm ( DX 600mm ). PP was just RAW conversion to JPG. You can download the orginal if you want to peek around and see what this lens can do. I'm just learning, so forgive any roughness.
