My reluctant volunteer for practice shots with the DF. I always try to take pics of my mom and she gets mad at me. This time I asked her to look outside and stay still while I tested various f/stops with the DF and Sigma 35 1.4 DF 35mm @f1.4
December 6th - I was at a dance in Philadelphia on the night of the 5th, then after drinking much coffee I immediately drove up to the Lehigh Gap and hiked north in rain and mist to the next road crossing. Reset my personal record for starting late - 03:20! Also my latest finish - 10:30 - because hitchhiking back to my truck didn't work out at all and I had to road walk all the way back.

Peruvian Torch Cactus Flower. This cactus is 7 years old and this is the first set of flowers. To make it worse, they only bloom at night and close in the morning early. Also, they only bloom one time, one night, and then they die. This is my favorite flower picture. Hard to get. The fruit was not so good--we let the birds have them. Love the detail and soft colors. Enjoy!
I was fortunate enough to have an image selected at the Seoul Photo & Imaging Exhibition to appear in their gallery collection of work from foreigners who reside in South Korea. After the exhibition concluded my image was then selected by CNN International Edition and appeared this week. Needless to say I was quite pleased this week even though I was on vacation and missed the announcement

He's not always the best model, at this point he was done with sitting and I wish I'd gotten this picture a bit earlier so his ear would be forward and he'd look more relaxed.

SquamishPhoto, as usual, a wonderful shot. I would love to try a 100mm Zeiss someday.
