Thanks for the comments on Flickr to those who stopped by. Kind words are appreciated so much.
I love the lighting in this shot. I told the model I'm in love with obscurity and contrasted light. She completely understood what I was going for during our shoot.
Triggertrap My new toy, *cough* I mean, tool arrived yesterday. Took kids out back and shot some balloons. It is so small I'll probably keep it with me often. I have ordered their little unit that will hook the device into the flash instead of the camera. Image isn't as sharp as I'd like and I expect things will be better if I can shut out the ambient light. We got a watermelon that I don't think is good any more and I got a katana, perfect for testing out the movement triggering modus, perhaps this afternoon :-)

One more from yesterdays event shoot. Setting up for the arrival of the 911 Never Forget, Rolling Tribute at a local NY High School. Funny thing is, I started taking photos when I noticed it was upside down. I ran to the fireman that was in charge and pointed it out to him. He assured me it would be right-side-up when raised. Well, it wasn't and I actually had to show him the back of the camera before he would believe me. There was much scrambling to get it corrected before people started pouring in.
Saw this fellow on a brief downtown photo walk in Fort Worth this morning. In front of the AmTrak platform. I tried to get it to come to me, but it wouldn't. I hope it's OK.
