The long drive down to Cornwall to do a one to one workshop with Cornish landscape photographer and Nikon Ambassador Ross Hoddinott didn't make things look too promising with lots of rain all the way down, but we changed location from the original plan and headed to Trebarwith Strand a little further down the North Cornish coast. The light really changed for us....

Thursday wife and I will travel to Rome, Italy. Never been there before... So, what I should be doing is packing, instead I edit :-) First I edited a few pictures from a school show, and since the head of the school was sitting behind me she naturally asked me if they could get some copies, so instead of just shooting my daughter I had a few others to do.... Might as well edit one more from last Riga trip as there will be no packing today :-) Model: Maara

When we were in Asheville, NC., we had lunch at Grove Park Inn, which was a wonderful experience with great food and even better views. Here's one from the back of the Inn, I kind of liked.........

@tcole, even if you did share it, it's a great picture, so I'm glad to see it!

I am grateful for a sturdy tripod. yesterday the fast moving Bristol Channel engulfed and water went over the tops of my wellington boots. The camera was on a tripod and I daftly abandoned it. It stayed upright with hardly a move.
This was shot a few minutes before that -

I'm a sucker for "cotton-candy" water shots... Nice!
A couple months back I rented the Rokinon 14mm f2.8 to play around with it. This is at f/5.6, so not all that deep. I kinda liked it, even with the manual focus. Here is one of the ponds at Cantigny; from this late November vantage point, I'm fondly remembering what liquid water looks like.

I discovered life on Jupiter. Jupiter, Florida to be exact. Maliya is a South Florida beauty who actually came across as knowing a few things about handling bright daylight and the sun high in the sky. I wanted to do a more lifestyle and editorial style of shooting here. Will share more over the next several days. D800 | Nikon 85mm f/1.4G @ f/1.8 | 1\1600 | ISO 100 + 77mm Tiffen 3 Stop ND filter
