The sunsets in Arizona are just awesome. The colors were that deep -- no trick with LR -- I thought I had died and went to heaven. -- Enjoy

Loren showed up with a couple outfit options. She really wanted the flannel look, but I saw some awesome band t-shirts that she brought so I told her to toss it on and I love the look of it.

@Luckie - you got "lucky" catching that sunset. LoL.
Ignore the negative feedback someone left on this image. This topic has been discussed before and individuals are not to leave a "-"...positives are welcome but not negative. So don't take it personally.

  • @Photobug -- Yes I was very lucky, right place, at the right time, with my camera. Negative feedback is fine with me, it's part of life, and who knows maybe I could learn something. The colors were unbelievable, I have never seen anything like that, so deep in color. In fact I was on a shoot, and I had to stop and shoot the sunset.

One of the lotus gardens in Century Park in Shanghai, China from July, 2013.

It's actually not taken with my Nikon, but is one of my favorite photos I've taken. It's probably the only non-Nikon photo I will post. If it's not okay to post non-Nikon, then I will remove it.

This shot was taken after the nob on my Blackrapid came lose and I witnessed helplessly as my D4 hit the ground....thankfully on the shoe head with at Sigma 50 1.4 attached....from about 3 feet high on a very hard tile floor in a market locate in Balatonfüred, Hungary.

It goes without saying that nothing happened. The durability of the D4 came through.

@Kanuck I go past Namdaemun regularly. Do you live in Seoul? (If you don't want to answer that here, I understand) I live in Busan, but a good deal of my business is done in Seoul, and that puts me there 1 - 3 days a week.

    Nice shot of Namdaemun.

@Golf007sd - Sorry to hear the D4 hit the pavement. Happy to hear it survived. Great example, you get what you pay for.

I still have more Bald Eagles to post, but wanted to provide one of my Amaryllis macro shots. This is a Apple Blossom Amaryllis. After looking at over 300 images yesterday, I can tell you I really like the D750.

Really nicely done! Welcome to NRF.

We really aren't sticklers for camera manufacturers in general- in fact, we have a "other manufacturers" forum. Posts are rare there, but feel free to discuss stuff there too. Canon, Pentax MF, Sony- people here use all sorts of cameras. I use my smart phone a lot.

    BMW Z4M... So much want.

@Golf007sd - Durability or not, still a heart stopping moment. Glad to see it survived without issue! Great image too.

Loren and I really worked well together. She knew what I wanted without me even having to say.

@NSXTypeR thank you for clarifying that for me.

    DSC_0403 - Edited

Kite string, taken on Haeundae Beach in Busan, South Korea on Feb 14, 2014. It's way, the heck, too cold to be swimming that day, but the beach is still irresistable on a bright, sunshiny day where temps rise to tolerable.

Maybe I should have cropped the building out of the right side of the picture. I wanted to include a touch of the urban setting in the picture, but the lens distortion at that point is pretty high, and it is the building that makes that obvious.
