Nice job on the bottle Autofocus. That is challenging photography.
Scuderia!, there is very little you can do. The harshness is caused by the small hard light source (the sun) and at high altitude the what little diffusion provided by the sky is even further reduced. If anybody has a solution to this, tell me where to buy it.
The Vivid Sydney event has been good fun for photographers and the people of Sydney. This lovely couple probably came across this random display of lights, in one of the back streets, after visiting the main light displays..
PS RE harsh light. Part of it is the UV that is causing it but most cheap "UV" filters (and some moderate ones) dont filter out UV. However, most Circular polarising filters also filter out UV so using circular polarisers will help as well as reduce reflected harsh light... Underexpose your images a bit and use RAW for most Dynamic range.

20 minute exposure - 10.10pm last night, 40 mins after sunset. The colours looked weird at first so used a dropper in LR6 on he lighthouse which gave me a better white balance, even if it was 30,000K!
Thank you for the tips, @IronHeart and @heartyfisher. I have a B&W Circular Polarizer brand new in the box. I The clear B&W works perfect in ideal lighting, but i'll be sure to switch when the light gets harsher!
