@flight3 congratulations, you just about nailed the exact same fireworks photo that photographer Trey Ratcliff captured. His wound up hanging in The Smithsonian Institute.
Sometimes I have these brilliant ideas (IMHO) and then, like today, I have ideas that provide contrast to the brilliant ideas... but at least I confirmed that the route had some nice spots for shoots... brrr still cold ... saw 13 degrees C + quite a bit of rain. Too cold to take my bike... In a couple of weeks Sinba (flic.kr/s/aHskbrMUhP) will visit me and I thought I'd scout a bit to check on a couple of places that I thought might be cool places to shoot. Some of these places I haven't been to for years and years and a couple I don't remember ever visiting
Location scouting Gloppedalsura (Norway), the biggest boulder field in Northern Europe.

As promised in the thread talking about average photographers, here is my average shot.
Certainly nothing special, except it was the last monument or building built in the forum in the 7th century by Phocas, the emperor of the Eastern Roman, or Byzantine Empire. It fit into my Rome series, particularly the parts about the forum. To me it shows that people recognized what was lost.

We went to a wolf sanctuary in Golden and I got this with me home:

Have no idea what the issue was but it is posted now....
It has been a long while and I had to rack my brain to remember my flickr account password.
