High Key photo with Ash to compliment the prior lower key image. Backlighting was natural light although this could have been done in studio with a large light source and modifier.
Not very 'compositional', but the subject is cool. Eastman No. 2 8x10", Wollensak f4.5 12" lens. I took the picture to show a friend who's looking to shoot a few sheets this size, for fun...
I've seen a few models and photographers label some of their photos "shot in Bangkok" and similiar, but since they were shot in a studio or in a standard home with IKEA furniture :-) they could have been taken anywhere in the world so when I got a visit from a model from Latvia I had in mind to let it be shown that she wasn't in Latvia (no mountains in that flat country for one thing) and also try to put her in front of some landmarks. Only problem was that my Elinchrom d lite wouldn't fire for some reason, so didn't get all the shots I wanted here. This monument commemorate the historic Battle of Hafrsfjord that took place there in the year 872, when King Harald Fairhair gathered all of Norway under one crown. (wikipedia)
