This is a spinning breach of a humpback whale. I had zero time to acquire focus so it is what it is. The angle is from the back side. D3s w/400 2.8 AFS II. I found I had much better success with the 70-200 f/2.8 later.

For once it wasn't actually my idea to go to my local zoo. Got all 3 of my girls with me this trip. I recently got a monopod that I wanted to test out, worked fine for a while until the bolt came loose. I will write a complain, as I did expect Manfrotto to have better quality (it feels solid)
