    Lockheed Super Constellation. As a kid I'd see these go over our house in Houstin occasionally in-bound to Hobby Airport. I still think they're one of the prettiest people movers ever designed. In this case Kelly Johnson (of SR-71 fame) did the honors.

    Agreed, there's something about that period of design (1950's to 1960's) when aircraft were very pretty overall. Maybe because the Lockheed Constellation is pretty much introduced at the peak of piston powered aircraft. They have the swept wings of jet aircraft.

    @ framer- Nice to see rotorcraft in this thread, this was exactly why I changed the thread name to Aviation Photography.

    @ Jimo- Very ominous looking photo of a SR-71 or a YF-12, I'm having much difficulty telling them apart.

    Thanks for everyone else's contributions! Especially the old warbirds.

    Here's mine for now, my material is running low.

    I was testing out that Thinktank raincoat for my D3s. Raining hard with 30+mph winds I'm on the top deck of a cruise ship near the runway.

    My biggest issue was keeping the front of the lens dry. It was a loosing battle but the inside of the raincoat stayed nice and dry.
