Regarding page 257 of the user manual. My page 257 is something on exposure bracketing. Oops, wrong manual. ... found it. Thank you. :-)

If you ordered it from B&H give them a call.

I was on a virtual seminar yesterday with Nikon hosted by the local camera dealer. The D6 started shipping to the US distribution warehouses 2 weeks ago. Dealers are now being notified.

There was a regional sales representative and a technical specialist on the call.

I think DenverShooter has been using a D5s.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

It replaces a D4. It's a serious leap in performance from the D4. Faster everything from focus speed to frames per second. Still trying to wrap my brain around it. And as previously mentioned all of the motor sport events I was going to use it on have been canceled...

OK, faster - but better IQ?

Do any of you use the UpStrap? Made in USA, I could be a salesman for these folks. It will change your level of piece of mind for that camera hanging on you shoulder for the rest of time... I've gotten another for the bag my camera is going to be in. I can finally forget about the various configurations of the things photographic hanging off my shoulder(s.)

I use the UPStraps on all my cameras. Very comfortable and certainly gives you peace of mind. It isn’t much to look at. You have to use it to get it.

I move my BossStrap from the D750 to the D780. Have not heard of the UpStrap. Link please. I love the BossStrap.

It's all personal preference, mine is the Black Rapid single or twin rig.

I really prefer the single point attachment like BossStrap and Black Rapids. That allows for the camera to be on your hip rather than bouncing on your chest. It also moves the load force from the back of the neck to the shoulder...for us "older" photographers a superior solution.

Photobug, the UP Strap can be worn around your neck, but it is designed to be worn around the hip.

With the UP Strap it is solidly on my hip and stays there. Bouncing is eliminated with a combination of selecting the right length, the shoulder pad being on my right shoulder with the camera on the left hip and the shoulder pad itself which does not slide. It is also very comfortable. I wore it for sixteen hours a day for 25 days in Europe with my fully accessorized D850. I had my lenses in a vest and tripod in my right hand. Very comfortable.

The gears weighs about 20 lbs but is distributed properly, so there is no back pain.

Sometimes, the best solution is not obvious. For the UPStrap, the shoulder pad design is the killer app. Really simple and effective.

All of the straps have the same shoulder strap. Have a close look at the perforations on the underside. It never moves. I am even comfortable wearing the sling on the left shoulder with the camera on the left hip. See the following for more:

    https://luminous-landscape.com/the-upstrap/

    https://www.shutterbug.com/content/httpwwwunclegcom

Note that there are two attachment points on the camera (the Black Rapid has one). There is now swaying or swinging on the UPStrap.

Not to denigrate Black Rapid, however. They also look very good.

    https://photographylife.com/reviews/blackrapid-sport-camera-strap

There have been some reports of failure on the Black Rapid straps. Most of these seem attributable to user error - the screw could come undone if you are not paying attention. I think that user error on the UP Strap is very difficult. But since I am dumb and prone to user error...….

Thanks for the clarification. I'll go back and look at it. In my opinion, going over the shoulder and on your hip is the only way to go. We got back from Texas 2 weeks before they shut down Wisconsin due to COVID and that D750 on the hip is so much better than around the neck.

Agreed, cannot stand neck straps. Been using a Black Rapid strap for 10 years now, never had a problem.

@DenverShooter - give us your thoughts on the D6 please? any IQ improvements?

I shot a Porsche club event two weekend ago with the D6. 3,497 images later I have the following comments.

    1. AF is at least an order of magnitude better than the D4. The number of out of focus images was less than 20. I purposely tried impossible shots that with the D4 had a very low probability of get a focus (subject entering the frame from the left side and moving away from the camera at over 120 MPH) with the Nikon 800mm lens and the D6 nailed them.
    2. I had to re-calibrate my brain for the 40% faster frame rate.
    3. I was unable to "stuff the buffer". I ran a pair of 128 GB Sony CFExpress (CEBG128/J) cards (set to 1 overfill to 2).
    4. Image quality was impressive.
    5. Back LCD touchscreen is very nice
    6. I am still learning the new features (GPS and WiFi) and have spent a fair amount of time with the manual.
    7. Battery life appeared to be on par with the D4.
