  October 2013

More mountains from todays hike. I've been getting some good weather lately, considering it was pouring down rain when I arrived.

Captured this Cormorant flying past me as I was standing at the end of the Dashpoint pier.

Continuing to experiment with sport shooting. Took this at a local girl's high school soccer game earlier this week. Lighting is a challenge at this level, but I'm pretty pleased with the D800's high ISO performance. Light years ahead of my D90 (no pun intended).

@Benji2505: exactly. Three flashes mounted on a tri-flash bracket and soft box, mounted on a monopod and held by an assistant camera right. Unlike some previous shots, there's not a lot of post on this one.

Yeah I noticed the annoying fly on her arm :-)

Just messing around with my Nikon1-V1 and 18-200VR and produced this :-)

Tried to smoothen the water a bit by a long exposure.
ND 8, gradual ND, circular polarizer = 8sec exposure at ISO 100 and f/22.

So, what can one do with one bare light bulb/shade from about 2 feet away?
