I took this photo on a short hike in Allishan, Taiwan. This was a friendly dog that enjoyed following our tour group and leading us around. It is most probably a stray.
An example of a shot I probably wouldn't be able to take now- looking at the exif it's 1/40th of a second at 135mm.
I think it's better anyway, since I can get away with higher ISO values.
This is the photo that broke the ice for me to stranger danger in street photography. I saw the interaction as I approached from behind and took a few candids. Once the butterfly landed on her finger I asked if I could take some pics. She agreed and I took several. It felt good to break out of my shyness shell.
Perhaps it's not a great photo but to me it is. Fuji xe1
@PitchBlack. She's gorgeous! Lupe isn't bad either. B-) Now, that is a cool tattoo. I am not a fan of tattoos, but seriously, is she going to wake up one day and regret being a photog? True devotion to her craft. She even has different colors at the right f-stops.
@Witty_Nickname : excellent shot. I think you'll find that if you use lightroom (or something similar), you'll find that running a brush along the top half of the photo, or a graduated filter even, with clarity bumped up a couple of notches that you'll tone down some of the haze in the upper part of the photo and really make it pop
Thanks, but this is about as tweaked as I like to go. I'm quite reserved when it comes to pushing the envelope in post. Also that isn't "haze". It's the gradual change in the sky just as twilight is kicking in. The pinkish blob being reflected (above the head) is actually cloud and above that is nothing but blue sky.
@spraynpray,I never seen one this big when i had a rifle in my hand! My first attempt at shooting with flash,Its called a moon flower or bugle flower. It starts opening up at dusk/dark.

Taken on a D40x btw.
