@henrik1963 ... yeah, I have one of those shots too. Funny flipping between the two in flickr, almost exactly the same crop! Mine is coloured differently though. I'll break from AT photos to humour myself here. I plan to put the Iceland stuff on my new flickr account after I wrap up the AT stuff, since that was a nice little adventure, but here 'tis:
On my way out to Marlake (Hylebos Wetlands Park) I spotted these two boys playing. I could just image one of them saying: "OK John it's clear to the right GO!"
I haven't been out shooting lately as life seems to have gotten in the way but I have been enjoying the outstanding posts in PAD on a regular basis. Really fine work, everyone.
Think a tilt shift lens might have helped or gotten a different angle but due to the humidity I did not want to go outside. Shot from outside a vent window.
@Pickerel how about this one? Took a shower with my D800 and 24-70 to get this. Look at all the rain coats on the cliff - you get wet - soaking wet. Weather sealing worked well.
Shot last night at dusk. This is one of those shots that you look forward to for a month. If the weather doesn't cooperate you're out of luck for another 30 days. D800 | 24-70 | 70mm | f/9 | 5s | ISO 500
Machinery at an abandoned quarry near North Conway, NH. It was at this point that I made a move ahead on the Trail, skipping forward to Caratunk, ME to do the last push of 150 miles with friends that I started out around.
