Another shot with the D7100 and 6400 ISO, but outside in very early morning light. Cleaned up in LR. A quiet Washington street just north of the White House.

I did everything I could to coax the second rainbow out, including laying down a ND grad filter in Color Efex. D800 | 70-200 | 75mm | f/5.6 | 1/1600s | ISO 200 | -2/3 EV
greybagel, quick hint, I hope you don't take it personally: if you shed some light onto the tattoos the colors would come out much better. I particularly like the picture in the right forearm, so it would be good to show the whole arm.
Got off the couch Sunday afternoon and walked out into the most fantastic light. Trying to keep the snow white and still capture details in the buildings is not easy... D800 | Nikon 14-24mm @ 20mm | 1/320 | f/7.1 | ISO 100

Thanks for the suggestion! And I never take a critique personal. In fact I welcome them. I've been having trouble with my self portraits because I never stand in the same spot twice after checking exposure on the camera, etc. I had intended to illuminate my arm better and had done so a couple times, but the pose didn't work. Next time I need to tape the floor or something to mark my standing spot so I stay in the light properly to illuminate what I am aiming for with the lights.
I call this my Matthew McConaughey because I forgot to put my shirt back on from the last shot. I was testing out a lighting style I noticed Christopher Nolan used in some of his scenes, especially with the catch light.
Mine for today. This yellow-headed caracara seemed to have been frighten by the wave crashing behind it, but it was really just hovering in search of prey. D800 (shot in DX mode) | 300 + TC1.4 | f/5 | 1/4000s | ISO 640 | -1/3 EV
