Mine for today. The guide I was traveling with, who knew I wanted to shoot hummingbirds, suggested I skip the afternoon hike into the rainforest and go to a ranger station, where I'd be more likely to see some. As we walked toward the station, we got into a conversation and just before reaching a clearing I asked him, "Do you think I'll see any?" In the clearing there were 10 feeders, surrounded by as many as 500 birds dive bombing all over the place, some as close to a few inches from my ear. The buzzing/humming was so loud I thought I was in a bee hive. He grinned and replied, "I think you'll manage to find some." I spent three hours shooting in the fading light, pushing the ISO as high as 5000 to get every last shot, and if my wife hadn't come to get me I'd probably still be there. Is my computer doing something wrong. For the last few several months I have not been able to view Coastalconn posted photos. Even when I go to his Flickr site everything appears grayed out. Does anybody have the same problem?

Last photo from Iceland. Put the camera on my gloves on top of a rock to get it stable for a 1/8 shot. The "fog" moving across the landscape is actually geyerwater, and even in the midst of winter you can see how green it is, due of course to the geothermal activity right there...
