@Michael66 Thank you, and yep thats exactly what it means. Except I don't have a reverse ring adapter (but I plan on getting one) so I handheld the lens which wasn't fun lol. The adapter will definitely be nice to have.

One more from the same shoot as the previous photo.
On the last photo I'm basically lying flat on my belly - in public - quite a ways away from her to get this point of view. Here, I'm stooping quit low but not flat on the ground. I now see what the pros have been doing.

Spring is on the way and can't get here fast enough. All the shots of the Amaryllis Minerva are done and the next Amaryllis just died. So you are going to see a different color Amaryllis than what I have posted for the last 3 weeks. This one taken a few days ago.

No post processing but did change from Standard to Vivid for more color saturation.

Hi everybody, I have been very busy lately. I was fortunate in being invited to the Amazon to take a look at several national parks and their management and for teaching a course there earlier in February and late January. Since I was working, I did not have much time for photos, but I will share a few. The one today is the first image I captured after getting to Brazil, and my first view of the Rio Negro above Manaus. I was on a riverboat and when I awoke in the morning, this is what I saw.

Cool story, Yeti. Jealous you got to spend time in the Amazon. Try any fishing while you were on the water?

Hi Squamish, I am really fortunate to go to some neat places. No time for fishing for those Peacock Bass, but would like to try when I have a more relaxed schedule. For me, the skies were incredible and that is where I focused my photographic attention, as you will see over the next few days.

Killer shot, itsnotmeyouknow. The line of sight extends nicely through the water to the gate and then beyond to the hills to very cool effect.
