I think this was my 10th shoot with a model and the first from my own country :-) Strange to speak Norwegian with the model... I surveyed and planned and checked location the day before the shoot and everything seemed ok, but a short burst of rain brought out millions of mosquitoes and biting midges... The model didn't give up, I did after a while :-) So we changed plans and drove out to the coast, where I had found a place a couple of days prior that would be good for a future shoot. As the sun was setting we got quite a number of shoots done. Can't wait to work with her again, but first I got 1100 shots to work with (yes, I do overshoot...)

had nearly forgotten how amazing the photos were on this forum ... been terribly busy of late !! .. And also replaced the Sigma 150-500 with a Nikkor 300 f4 + 1.4TC in the meantime ... Here's one for the comeback ...
March 7th - On the left is southbound thru-hiker Prada at Woody Gap, who had hiked through the winter and was now 21 miles from the end of his hike. I had never met him, but by chance he had hiked some of Massachusetts with Roosta, a hiker I knew well. Roosta had mentioned Prada a couple times and had wondered if he was still hiking. On the right is a section hiker, who also happened to be named Prada. Sometimes there are multiple people on the Appalachian Trail with the same trail name. Usually these are more obvious names - Rocky, Moose, Lord of the Rings characters - but it was amusing for these two to share an uncommon trail name to meet under such circumstances.

Playing with my Variable ND today. Only had a few minutes to stop and shoot the stream. Of the three frames this was the best. Can't wait to go out and spend some time experimenting. D800, Sigma 35mm Art, f11, 30 second exposure.
The Indian Skimmer is a species classified as "Vulnerable" by IUCN. I was pleasantly surprised to see a flock around 60 birds on the banks of the Ganges.
