Found an active osprey nest on a bike ride a couple of weeks ago (rarer than you would think for Vermont) and came back this past Friday very early. Light was crap but I found a female nesting with what appears to be two chicks (only one visible here) and a male. While I didn't see him hunting he does seem to have plenty of projects around the house. The nest is in the middle of a wide open field on private property, so I didn't venture too close.

Girlfriend spotted this bear coming out of the tree line. I pulled the jeep over and grabbed the camera and snapped a few before he went back in the woods.I had no time to adjust camera,I figured a bad shot is better than no shot at all.
