Another from the Salt Flats in UT. This is a shot of the many remnants left from the old (cir 1890s) Saltair Resort. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saltair_(Utah)
As I was heading home after a night of not so good multiple exposure photos, I took this one right as I was leaving. Definitely glad I did! D3100 | 18-55mm | F11 | ISO 100 | 40mm | 15 Sec
So I decided to join 500px, with main reason being to claim my name (500px.com/Gjesdal) and not knowing anything about it I assume getting a shot up to 88 something first evening and Popular is not too bad attention. I found a couple of friends there and one of them had favored an image of mine uploaded by someone else. I was kind of annoyed and the worst part of it was that this was image I used to illustrate using Topaz Impression to create a structured background on what originally was a white backdrop... Can't see why 500px should use that long to remove the image, after all the image did still have my watermark on it.
From last weeks trip to Riga, Latvia. Sometimes the apartments don't look anything like what you'd expect from the photos, but this time it was truly great. So happy I did bring an extra suitcase for my Elinchromes, last time I shot with Diviana here, I tried some LED continuous light and that didn't cut it.

Now if I can only capture one of these critters flying. After trying and failing all summer, I hold a lot of respect for anyone that has managed it.
