The muppet was squirming a lot with her hands behind her back and when I asked her to show me her hands she gave me this pose.

I am going to put this one in a little early as I plan to be out before dawn and after sunset shooting in Sedona. This was taken today around 4 with the 300mm f/2.8 ED-IF AIS, which further accentuated the size of the moon. The skies were such a deep blue all day long the moon was very visible even at noon, though more faintly than here. The late sun really accentuated the blues (though digital sensors are somewhat blue insensitive so they tend to exaggerate deep blue anyway) and reds but I still think the black and white version blows the color one away. Perhaps it is just me channeling Ansel Adams again.

Guess where I was today? D810, Siggy 35. Also want to compliment B&H for their great customer service. I wanted to measure the diameter of a Interfit to Profoto adapter so the clerk had the item sent to the lighting department just so I could check it. Yup, I't will work. For those that have never been to B&H, if you're ever in NYC and have an hour to waste, do it there. Actually an hour is just a tease.. I could spend a day in there.

Lafayette, LA Cathedral. Right after noon Mass, shot as I walked through the rear. The shrunken photo makes the incandescent cast more pronounced...
