@WestEndFoto: I had planned on posting a comment on your post of Dwanda several days ago but have been really busy. I did not give you one of the -1's but I wanted to make a comment and offer some advice/critique that may have been the reason for the individuals to give the -1. I am not sure if it is you have a make artists that is heavy handed or if your adding too much saturation/vibrance to your image but it the colors seem heavy and distract from the model. I like your composition. I worked with Doug Kirkland (many years ago) and he taught me that the model or the person in the portrait should be able to look at the final image and not say I don't look like that or you man you did a lot of adjustments in Photoshop. It's ok to make some subtle adjustments like softening wrinkles removing blemishes, etc. I would be curious what your model thought of the image.
I must admit that I love colour. That image is about six months old and I have been refining things since then. My more recent images have less post processing. I would appreciate any further comments that you may have.
@kanuck I have to agree with you about the "+1 images", it was nice to see people appreciations without resolving to long old-days-style personal text threads. Some people have complained about being tagged with -1 (which in some occasions might have been accidental) but "flagging" a photo is definitely more extreme.
Pierre, yes you are right. I just kind of like giving +1 out to the images I really liked or enjoyed each day, but I guess it's not a big deal. Overall the site looks cleaner and more modern now I think actually so I am pleased
This little Zebra Spider was stalking another spider when I saw him but as he got closer it was comical to see him looking the other spider up and down to see if he could take him and when he decided not, he backed away very slowly!
@VisualUniverse: Nice image! Great to see a D810A at work. We have a red supermoon Monday night here in the UK - where are you based?
I am in Texas. We will have perfect view to the East on Sunday evening. I will be shooting it with the D810A attached to the AP140 refractor with barlow. BTW...you can see more D810A shots by some talented imagers on the D810A Flickr group I started: https://flickr.com/groups/d810a/

This fellow was slowing from about 160mph to 30. I think Newton was on to something.
