This was the only other person I met on the Finger Lakes Trail / Great Eastern Trail / this whole journey that was out for a long hike. She was a past Appalachian Trail and Mountains to Sea Trail thru-hiker. Her specialty was discovering the wild edible and medicinal plants along these trails, and she had written a book on the useful plants along the Appalachian Trail and was doing the same with the Finger Lakes Trail.

Been sick for a week, and that was the week we had good weather, now that flu is gone and I was able to go outside... rain.. and will do so for at least a week... So I had little else to do but to watch youtube videos and try to edit a bit, not tried frequency separation before so I thought I'd give that a go and now I feel like a fool for not taken the time before, same feeling I got when it dawned on me that I should just use one focus point for portrait shooting.... Frequency separation really is the way to go Gjesdal and the Phlearn video that you posted is a good one. When I find time to go through that, Gaussian Blur will be ancient history.
An eager to pose cosplayer at Dragoncon 2015. Loved the way her husband selflessly removed himself from the frame so that I could get a photo of her alone.

@Gjesdal, Beautiful portrait! I never return files to my subjects or post them here without some post-processing, including FS for skin. My opinion, anyone can take a snapshot and post it. I strive for something more.
