Home run swing.



Beautiful day at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Fulfilling a promise that I made to my Dad before he passed away and his best friend Tony that we would go to Durham Bulls game. He loved baseball, golf, family and friends. Great to share this moment with Tony and looking forward to another game with family. Wished he could have been with us physically but he was definitely there in spirit. He played professionally for a couple of years and I always loved hearing his stories and playing catch with him in the backyard when I was growing up. Miss him everyday.

It has been a long, long time since I have posted. The last couple of years have been very busy with a lot of work involving lots of travel. I still enjoyed seeing the photos placed here. Only occasionally did I have time to practice photography. So here is a photo. And I will visit once in a while to post as I get time.

Just got back from a cruise, had a great time.

Shutter was set to Q mode single shot, AF-S auto, focus assist was turned off, I pressed the shutter when the pyrotechnics were set off.

Backing it in at 100 mph. The rider on the inside (Roger Hayden -#95) got a little exuberant trying to make the pass. He'll get to the apex first, but leave the corner 10 meters behind.



I left my 70-300 at home so this was taken with a 24-85 at 85 and cropped pretty severely.
