Can't compete with such fantastic bird pics you guys so some more recent French scenery shots from me - this is a beautiful village in the North Dordogne called Bourdeilles. Travelling back to the UK this weekend so hopefully will find time when home to process more pics from our two months in France and post a few of the best. Weather has just been too good to spend time on the laptop! D810 & 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G @ 35mm 1/160s @ f/9.0 ISO 180.
Again, too lazy to put together a portrait site, so here's one for my Flickr account. Might not stay there forever...
@Searcy, learning to shape that light is fun - especially if you have a model who's willing and patient to let you practice. Train your eyes by looking at photos in magazines. See where those catchlights are in the eyes, etc. Have fun and be creative! That Olympus was given to me and I've used it in 2 different model shoots.

@NSXTypeR I understand your point and there is value in reviewing older photos and apply editing or techniques that may not have been available since taking the photo. I agree with @IanG when the same photo is posted multiple times and the photo is exactly the same. I looked through the PAD over the past two years and there are several photos that have been posted as many as 7 times and they look identical. I don't see the point. Concerning Henri Cartier Bresson and Ansel Adams you are right they are not modifying and posting edited photos. Images that Ansel Adams took in the late 20's and 30's were never modified after they were published. Ansel had 50+ years to go back and make changes to these images if he felt he could have improved on them but he did not and he left detailed instructions on how to reproduce them.
Those are valid points, edits are a different thing. I'll agree that significant edits may be worth a look, but it might get tiring to see them multiple times.
My family chides me as I shoot these, "...what is THAT a picture of?" sort of thing, but they generally like the results. Over the years, when I can't get out and shoot what I really like, I find a lot of satisfaction in creating compositions from flowers around the house in interesting light.

Love these shots of your model. The lighting is great. I have some new white umbrellas on the way for my next shoot.

Taken on my phone.
This was posted once before but goes along with an earlier post.
