Key West has some colorful "Key West Type" cottage houses for a unique local ambiance. But I think the best place to visit in Key West is the Hemmingway House. Be sure to see it. I was there a couple of times so long ago I didn't have a camera along or even a cell phone. But I have a painting of the house. The best I can do now is to take a picture of the painting. LOL. In your last posted shot the curves in out of focus background nicely mirror the curves on the water splash for a nice composition of curves.
This is an unusual image many people won't like (and that is fine, taste varies). It is produced by a 56mm Lensbaby "Velvet" lens designed to produce "ethereal" images like those from the very early days of photography.
Another image from the Lensbaby 56mm f1.6 but this time shot at f4 instead of f1.6. Quite a different character when the lens is stopped down, but still nice blurry distant background.
WEF: that's very nice. Brings back memories. About 40 years ago I worked with the Rangers and the National Park Service to save the grizzly bear population in Yellowstone (there were so few left - less than 200- that they were not in Grand Teton in those days). More than 400 animals are needed for a self-sustaining population (which is why there can be no Bigfoot, by the way). Now there are just over 1,000 grizzly bears in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. The population has recovered and is healthy. But the price to pay is occasional human injury. I backpacked up Death Canyon to the Alaska Bason behind the three Tetons and back down through Cascade Canyon.
