I'm loving the Tokina 300 F2.8 with the Tamron 1.4x TC. Nothing like lugging around a 6 pound piece of glass. This is cropped down to 830 x 1023 from a D300 so I think it is beyond 100% crop. This is the hardest Osprey shot to get at 80 MPH...

Every image is just amazing it it's own light. Such a pleasure to look thru these every day.

I'm going through a phase of a childlike fascination with Photoshop as of late. It's amazing to realize that what we see in magazines is often an enhancement of what the photographer captured. Here's a before and after of an image I just finished. Includes touches from LR4 and CS5. Shot with Nikon D7000 & Sigma 50mm f/1.4.

Slight crop, Aperture auto enhance (seems to look just slightly better than upping the exposure 1 stop).

D7000 1/1600 ƒ/5.6 ISO 1250 105 mm (Nikkor 18-105)

Tried a bunch of different crops. turns out to this one. Hopefully you like it.
