That's an installation called "Mausoleum of happy bees". It's on a bee cemetery in a botanic garden at Neuchatêl and explains what bees do an what kills them.
An old friend. I'm sorry I didn't shoot him with a slightly smaller aperture so his nose was in focus. The camera went with +1EV, but I moved it back to 0 and think it's better this way.
Chuck Eggen suggested a b&w version of my earlier image. Here's the first one I did, and I have several others over on my Flickr page. Interesting idea. Thanks Chuck!
