I really like the hand-drawn look I stumbled into. Post-processing was all in Aperture, mainly the "Levels" tool, and a free preset I found called "Mono X by SEIM" for the final monochrome conversion. The color version is cool, too. ISO 3200 (yay grain!) f/8 1/80, available light. Genuine rain drops, btw.
Want to says thanks for all of your nice comments. Don't have anything new for today so I'll post something from last year. Was going to drop this into the "street photography" thread but decided to put it here. It's one of my favorite candid street portraits taken with a Sigma 120-400mm zoom (sold) from across the street. He saw me but probably couldn't quite tell what the heck I was doing. I must say that lately I've had fantastic luck with first introducing myself.
To all contributing to the black and white...it is nice to see.. Pippigurl...Nice shot. Beautiful capture... Todag's contribution is a wood bee. D7000 ISO800 F9, 1/640th
First off, there's way too much awesome material to go through in this thread!
Hello all, I've been busy with school but I just finished all my finals and I've been going through my shots from last year.
I took this shot last year and I like it because it reminded me of photos taken of coastal areas from the ISS. I have no way to get to the ISS, so all I have is mold and spoiled milk.
Two days away and I come back to some great stuff. D90 | 105mm | f/13 | 1/160 | ISO 800 Darkened the background and boosted the brightness of the water droplet in Viveza, then did some burning of the brighter reflected areas because I wasn't quite satisfied with what a distraction they were.
@ TNXTypeR, I thought for sure you captured that above the coast of Africa or South America somewhere. This raises the question...Did we "really" land on the moon?
