Circa 2007. My late (and beautiful) Rhodesian Ridgeback "King". He did not have the signature ridge on his back, but had the most personality of all the pups so I took this one home. Shot with a 3MP point and shoot.
@donaldjose: Thistles are great for butterflies and moths - why not dead-head it to stop it seeding and extend the flowering period then pull it when it stops flowering? That way you can post some butterflies here. :-)
Thank you for your appreciations from the past image. I will be posting some more if I have some time between work and photography. Here's another one I like
For informational purposes, the last two sunsets I have posted were taken with the 400mm f/2.8, TC-20EIII, and a 52mm B & W Dark Red filter (091M) dropped in the slot on the 400. F/20, 1/1250 sec, ISO 640, VR on Tripod mode. The system has some diffraction around the objects and this seems to be stable at f/stops from 5.6 (wide open) to f/20, about 3.7 f/stops down. The diffraction disappears on the [post sunset shot as seen here:
@Pierre: Did you see any Hobbits running around? :P @Msmoto: Thanks for the info on the sunset shots...will have to try your technique in July...hint..hint!
As for mine for the day: "Booooo!"
