Benji's image from last night got me thinking about something I almost threw away. This was shot from a cliff 200 or so feet above Lake Tahoe, near Rubicon Point. I really liked the colors on this. I've never seen water this blue. D90 | 70-200 | 150mm | f/5.6 | 1/125s | ISO 400
"Ayo Gorkhali !!!" ...... meaning " Here come the Gurkhas !!! " ....... it is the ages old battle cry of the diminutive, yet much feared Gurkha warriors. And nothing symbolises the Gurkha like the traditional "khukri" dagger and in more recent times, the "Gurkha hat" .... Worn with a tilt to one side, to obscure the eyes of the wearer, the hat adds a further mystique to the legend of these hill warriors...
Decided to some .jpg shooting with the Sigma 35mm 1.4 and D800 for street today. Not bad. But I think ill continue to use raw and try min the number of shots per shoot.
