There is a short story behind these three. They were last in line as I edited and printed horseback riders. The music was blaring from across the street and they had my windows shaking. After they got their prints I said "OK, if you want to dance lets go outside and do it right". They did. This is an old image and I wish I could meet up with them again. Another year or two they might have kids of their own on those horses or driving them nuts shaking the windows or bouncing in the back seat while mom drives.............
@Msmoto: To me Tommie, the photos was taken in 'no mans land' - not close enough to show lots of detail of a component or small cluster of components, but not far back enough to give some context or idea of scale to the beast. If it had somebody in-shot touching it we would have scale, but as it is, I would describe it as a well taken record shot. Technically it is superb I think, and the exposure is right on to give more depth to the shot without having the shadows artificially lifted, and I like the tonal range.
jshickele, you can see some snaps from the actual wedding on my google+ if you want. Be warned though, they're not very good since that's not the kind of stuff I normally shoot or what I enjoy shooting. https://plus.google.com/117913340314827298912/posts/jjEbH7Y2mDs
One more with this dress and then it's time for a wardrobe change
My first crummy attempt at a star trail. What with the light pollution from Ashford, high winds, clouds, planes, trains, and cars, the only way is up from here!
For this setup I placed a 22 inch Paul C BUff white beauty dish with a B800. A sb-800 rear top for hair light. A sb-910 firing into the silver reflector on the floor.
Prior to the shoot I set everything up including white balance with an expo disk while my daughter took a nap. When she was done the Cyber commander would not fire but all the lighting stayed the same so I shot with a sync cable and set the speedlights in slave mode.
Not really a great picture, but I liked the candidness of this...........
