Wow proudgeek!!! Beautiful shot!!! PAD is so intimidating.....
Please don't let it be. For example, I started following this forum back in early 2010. It was six months before I could even comment on a post. It was well over another year before I had the guts to put up a photo. I'm sorry I waited so long. This is a very supportive group. In fact, I think that posting here daily and constantly striving to up my game in response to the "competition" has no doubt made me a better photographer. Rather than look at photos as a source of intimidation look at them for inspiration. Copy someone's style. I do it all the time. Then add your own aesthetic or technical sense to it.
And one more thing. Several weeks ago you initiated a conversation that went on for some time about which lenses and body to buy. I remember your lusting for a D400 (which many of us are), which doesn't and may never exist. Someone here said it, and I don't remember who, that the best investment you can make in your photography is plane tickets. I've never forgotten it. This particular image was taken in Coiba National Park in Panama. I find that seeing unusual landscapes and animals (my favorites subjects) is a phenomenal inspiration to me.
And yeah, this is mine today. Shot in the cloud forest in Monteverde, Costa Rica. Don't see many birds like this in Vermont. D800 | 300mm | f/3.2 | 1/320s | ISO 2500
@rbrylawski that photo is hilarious ) D3100 | 50mm | 1/200 sec | F2.5 | ISO100 | External flash with orange gel used

Nikon D7100; AF-S DX 35mm f1.8; AF-S DX Macro 40mm f2.8; AF-S DX 18-200mm VRII; SB-700 Speed Light and a bunch of other not very noteworthy stuff......
@PitchBlack, I like the B&W, too bad you we don't have a flickr to comment on. I was actually pretty lucky to get the guy behind the speeding metro through the window.
