March 15th - After hiking as far north as Virginia Route 9 and the VA / WV border, I carpooled with a couple folks down to Gypsy Meltdown, a contra dance weekend near Charlotte, NC. The Saturday night dance was Dr. Seuss / whimsical attire themed.

I was shooting some flowers on the street at golden hour and ended up shooting a group of tourists from Toronto with their own IPhones. This girl was in the same group shooting her sister and she looked amazing in the light. The photo I quickly snapped turned out well.
April 1st - Not much hiking for the last couple weeks of March, but I drove to Maine for the Downeast Folk Festival. Back at my parents' house for a couple days after that before I decided it was not working for me to be there, so I set out late in March to keep wandering. Resourceful footbridge near Swatara Gap, PA, where the Appalachian Trail crosses I-81 for the fourth and final time.

Another shot of the river, with a little less interesting sky, and before our most recent rains. Way behind on viewing, commenting; post-processing and posting. Work has been too busy.

So I told my wife (who is awesome btw) that I should make an ad for a TFP model living close to where I live, that would want to work repeatedly. Wife responded "I know someone"... So she gave Katrine my details and yesterday we shot for a couple of hours and I was ever so pleased with how it went. Apart from her being awesome, as we were talking I mentioned that I've only shot with female models and that guys are so much harder to get in front of a camera, "I know a guy..." she replied.
