@SquamishPhoto @Rx4Photo Thanks for the comments. I'm having fun with that combo. Its my new favorite lens especially at the 50mm range. More AIS lens are in the wishlist.
super shots folks ... .. this one doesn't even come close ... thanks to an overcast sky and uppish ISO ....... yet sharing it in all its graininess ...just because I found the symmetry quite appealing. The Asian Palm-swift is a tiny bird and, true to the name, really fast in flight. A true nightmare to focus on when it shoots past , with a disproportionately loud 'woosh' ....
Lately I've realized a slowly developing trend in what I've found myself wanting to shoot. I've always loved landscape photography and lately I've wanted to join a bit of beauty with my landscape images. When I met Joanna I described my intent. The location is the same pier where I photographed the sunrise from a few weeks ago.

I was out and about trying to do the skyline. My first time in maybe 5 years. I should have brought a tele I think. I wasn't happy or satisfied with any angle so towards the end I decided to try something different
I panned several times left and right and for the remainder of the exposure I let it sit facing the skyline.
PitchBlack: Another stunner! Just amazing! If I were a beautiful woman (rather than the homely man I am) I would want you to photograph me. Models should beat a path to your door and beg you to shoot them.
As I mentioned the light in her place died off quick so we moved outside. It's a bit different than the style I've been leaning towards, but we got some good shots. Her red hair really stood out when we got in this lighting.
