Six days of August and already so many posts here? Dang you guys are fast. Things have been rough for me, currently operating as an impromptu handyman because that is the only work I have been able to scrape up since I finished my first Appalachian Trail hike. (If anybody wants kitchens or floors installed, for some reason that is a thing I do now because two people want me to install kitchens and floors for them.)
April 8th - I'd hiked the last little bit I needed from WV Route 9 into Harpers Ferry a couple days prior, or should I say a couple nights prior. I decided to be really really ambitious in my combination of hiking and dancing when I entered Harpers Ferry. I woke up in Pennsylvania, after dancing in Birdsboro, PA on Saturday night. First I went to Arden, DE and danced all through an afternoon contra dance. Then I drove immediately to Glen Echo, MD and danced all night there. Then I drove straight to WV Route 9, parked my truck, and started hiking some time around midnight. This was about all my body could take apparently, and I then spent a day recovering at this friend's house. (Hey look, rare portraiture from me I guess, though this was just "hey wait right there let me get my camera"...)

This is the second wedding shoot for me, i think its ok. The bride and groom was very happy with them and so was her mother. Brides mother just happens to be my girlfriend , so I'm happy happy.
I'll take that as a compliment, Thanks @PitchBlack ... and I'm sure she would as well. I was actually hoping for one more session myself . We'll see what comes about in the few weeks she has left here.
Noxin, beautiful shot! Did you use a grad filter or is it post processing?
I didn't use any filters, I just adjusted the exposure and pushed the colors a pinch. That picture was taken half way up the mountain. Just after we got to the top, the weather started to change and we got hail and rain on the way down. Here is a 3 & 1/2 image stitch from the top.
The day after I took the shot of Wizard Island in Crater Lake, Wizard Reflections (posted in yesterday's PAD), I climbed to the top of it and looked east. This is the reflection that I saw.
I had to walk down a trail down the cliff in the background and then up this volcano. I had my D800 hanging off my left shoulder and my Billingham 207 with my 20, 28, 50, 85, 200, SB-910, Coolpix A and a full-load of accessories in the pockets hanging off my right shoulder. Fairly well balanced and though not featherweight, it was worth the extra effort. I used every lens on that hike. The next day I did the same thing hiking up Mt. Scott, the mountain in the right background.
