Great stuff! My first contribution: Finished the Osaka Marathon last November 2012. That day felt more like winter. Had huge cramps halfway but managed to finish before the cut-off time.
well I must warn you all in advance I may go into macro mode over the next few days, I just got myself a 40mm Micro, I'm pretty impressed, the short working distance isn't a problem unless you working at 1:1 all the time, I spent a whole day with it today on plants and flowers and it never caused me any issues, I think this lens is one of the biggest bargains in the Nikon catalogue, I even managed a few shots of a Robin in a tree which ill share soon,
if anyone is thinking about this lens for macro stuff I wouldn't hesitate, check out my flickr for some more shots from it.
What great images each of you have been so kind in sharing with us..thank you. A big welcome to the new members As for me, my schedule has been quite active thus not allowing me the opportunity to take out the gear and shoot. Hope to be an active contributor shortly....cheers to all.

The Wife was shooting some video of our Son playing in the Ball Pit and I photographed her while she was in the process (Panasonic Lumix ZS7).
She obviously had no idea.
The capture turned out really well and show cases the Nikkor 24-70mm's sharpness and DOF @ f/2.8
