Just wanted to say congrats to everybody, a lot of superb images here. I don't have anything new, been busy creating our small Pet Photo business website which is up now since yesterday night (it's www.petstarfoto.ro if anybody is actually curious). Hope to have some new stuff soon, especially since I'm going to Venice this weekend for the carnival. Cheers
I suspect I am showing this as it was like the car my friend had when I was growing older in the 1950's. Note, not growing up...that was years later...LOL.
@ Squamish...nice! I see a bit of tension, apprehension...almost a hesitancy in the expression... well done. @ Benji...always love these... @ darkslide Being a "street shooter" myself, I really like this one. @ dissent Very well done architectural @ Ton...love birds @ Golf...nice place to live, huh?
@darkslide & spraynpray: Ha Ha. Thank you for the comments. Sorry for the oversight in not straightening the shot. Hope you are both happy now with the edit. This shot was taken hand held; strong guest of wind made it a bit difficult to stay put...in hindsight I should have used my tripod...oh well live an learn. :P
@Msmoto: The Four Seasons is a nice place. Ironheart has stayed there more than I. You can ask him about the accommodations

In shooting film originally, I learned how to print photos. The original from the camera is only a partial image. The post processing is what makes the photo.
As a learning tool, your suggestion is good. New thread?
Hi all, am back from clearing out some work. Thanks to those who offered me advice on how to help with my portraits! I just took delivery of some stands and shoot through umbrellas, hopefully that will be a good first step.
Did this last Fri but had no time to sort them out until now. Was close enough that I had water splashing on the lens!
Here is a photo I took near Times Square right after Christmas. It's shot on film purchased at CVS (lol) and developed and scanned at Walgreens (I'm lazy, it's convenient, and I'm still learning film so it's "good enough").
Oh, and for @Chrisjakes, this is totally unedited by software.

I'm guessing f/2.8 and 1/30s, but I'm not sure.
Great shots all - and everything I shoot is processed by software. It's what I teach. ;-)
