I love the plugins from Topaz labs so when they released a new product ... well :-) The Texture Effects plugin is quite huge, download was over 1 GB ... :-) Far from have tried all the possibilities yet, but I do like it, well worth the money imho.

@Gjesdal - is it supposed to have that strong magenta cast? If it is, it doesn't help the image IMHO.
Yes, as intended. I liked it, and she loved it :-) Fair enough if people don't like it. But tool seems very powerful. Should be some youtube videos on it up by now which can show what it is capable of.

Haven't posted in many months. But I check in almost daily and am regularly blown away by the quality of the photos folks post. I very much miss the +1, although I might've broken it this month. Anyway, here's a slimy guy who wouldn't quite come out to play on the banks of the Colorado River this summer. So I "captured" him where he was.
(Apologies if I didn't post this properly -- I checked the instructions thread, which requires pulling HTML code from flickr. I can't find any such code, but embed seems to work.)
This is shot 2 of 3 in a mini-project that involved me getting up at 3am when I couldn't sleep. The first shot is my previously posted "After Sunrise".
I got up this morning to find out that Flicker had explored this picture of Diana.Thats the first time I have had one explored. D610 | 75mm | F/4 |1/500 | ISO 100
Is this Caladesi Island? If so, I really like it there.

I got into photography for real thanks to birding, and this particular Reddish Egret is still one of my all-time best and most favorite subjects.

Probably could have gone to 1/250th, but the up and down motions of these dirt cars is huge...
