Maybe you would have been better off at f11 ISO 250 to get more DoF there CEB, and you may want to check your camera isn't back focusing by taking the shot with a tripod and focusing on the centre of the flower. It is likely that you 'swayed' a little while shooting though. HTH.

A self portrait...from the archive...Water droplet on a day lily...didn't know I could see my reflection in the droplet. Not sure which lens (EXIF says f/1.8, but I didn't have an f/1.8 50mm lens back then. Is probably the 18-55 kit lens with extension tube)

One man's junk is another man's treasure. Have looked at all the "stuff" this guy has attached for his music and just keep finding unusual items. Not a bad percussionist.
@Msmoto- It is straight!! @Iroll- Those leaves look like they are made of onyx. Great shot! @pippigurl- Great shot! That composition is really good in that flat-lighted street. The color of the Mardi-Gras beads stands out superbly. @benji- Do pots of gold float?

@ pippigurl - nice shot of a truly eclectic subject.
I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to go out and shoot anything, so I decided to take some shots of my reef aquarium.
