Woke up yesterday morning to some really heavy fog. Ran down to the lake to see if I could get some duck/geese shots. These guys spook pretty easily so most of what I got was limited to tail feathers. However, I really liked the way this turned out. The symmetrical patterns created by their wakes, plus the fact that I caught them both turning in the same direction, caught my eye. MsMoto great pictures from the Olympus, small and good camera. It is nice to see the Dutch tulips, Pippigurl posted some earlier. Main tourist attractions in Holland are "De Keukenhof" and "De Bollenvelden", only it is still very cold here, so the flowers are very very late this year and there is nothing to see at the moment. I was at de Keukenhof 5 years ago, so it is time for a visit again.
Every year we have a "flower parade", this year on April 20th, but we have to import flowers, because we don't have them yet. Fun he, happens once in the 60 years or so.

Those who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it!
As we watched these herons they became so alarmed and nervous...two other birds are out of frame. And then it became apparent what the issue was! Enough time for one qucik shot.
@ Pierre......Do you have any idea what those things were used for before some one used them for a sculpture ? They look very familiar, but I simply can't remember where I saw something like that.
Cannot tell you if they were ever something else, perhaps what you are familiar with is this 1960 style. @Postman, I really like your page 13 landscape, the contrast between the near and far, the ground and snow, the exposure balance, there is a lot to see. @aviachar this Brazil spot has a lot of potential for very different lighting, @cbg the crispness and colors of your tidal basin are really special, very nice.
Gee you guys are good at bird, I cannot even dream of succeeding such a shot, I just don't have the patience.
@Tidewatcher, really Monet in colors and style, just looks like a painting.
@Gitzo I really like your post from April 10th. Any chance you would be willing to share your secrets on that one? i.e. the set-up you used and any post-processing you applied?
Taken back on St. Patrick's day along with a beautiful sunrise that I posted a few weeks ago. Playing around with a scanned handwritten logo made in Photoshop. D800, Nikkor 70-200mm VR2 ; f/6.3 ; 155mm ; 1/250 ; ISO 400

Nothing great to show, just another angle at this historical site.
