@ dissent.......Thank you ! That was a really "quickie" shot.....it was pretty cold out that day
@ Adam........I think he's a black caiman......they get BIG ! (and are VERY nasty) (and I'm wondering if those flies were as pesky to you as they were to the caiman?)
Pierre, yes my wife was about to discard some old artist ink and I thought I pump some light into it and see what the outcome was. This shot was with 2 inks in water, one SB900 from the side and one SB900 onto the background to make it homogeneously white, both M1/16. no modifiers, no gels, triggered by phottix odin.
Haven't posted in a while....away for Spring Break + D800 in the shop (Nikon, Inc., Melville, NY) for focus assessment - warranty/no cost, and sloppy shutter sound with Err message afterwards - warranty/no cost.
Here's one from last year in Marathon Key, Florida. Shot from the balcony of a condo. D7000 ; Nikkor 28-300mm.
I am a huge Formula 1 fan and will be attending a race in Austin, Tx this year (November). I was going to practice motion blur shots prior to flying down there for the Grand Prix. I will be shooting with a D800 and 300mm f/4 with TC1.4 attached.
I've read several theories on how to shoot with motion blur properly. But would appreciate any advice/camera settings you'd be willing to share.
I just shot at 1/60 in Shutter Priority with the ISO set at 100. The trick is to find a place to shoot were it's the right distant for a smooth pan, it's real easy after that.
I'm not sure if I'm going to the F1 race but I'm going to try and get there next month for the V8 Supercars. Looking forward to seeing your pictures of the F1 race!
@Bland &Msmoto: Drug to a car show last week and thought about you two and your enjoyment from cars. So here is my fav...whatever it is. Just beautifully restored.
Lots and lost of nice things. @ton & @Coastalconn beautiful bokey and birds. @Benji2505 this could provide endless beautiful shapes and colors, well done. @aviachar I hope you cached a ride to the summit, my legs are hurting just looking at the photo
@ rschnaible........ I love the green leaves....almost looks like Fuji Velvia !
@ pippigurl...... that's a pretty sharp car there....( wait til Msmoto see's the one I'm putting up!
@ Pierre.......Do you have any idea what they used to make in that building ? ( What ever it was sure leaked out a lot and got the building really funky....)
OK, a preliminary scouting shot... on my learning curve for time-lapse, from the Three College Observatory in North Carolina....more to come from this venue.
The joke is I tried to shoot time lapse with full size images...340 of them at 20 MB each..... )
Well, now I have read the manual and understand what I did wrong....maybe...
aviachar, that looks awesome. Were you riding on pavement or dirt? One last geese shot from the other day, this one landing instead of taking off. D90 | 300mm | f/5.6 | 1/1250s | ISO 400
Since Coastalconn has started to post Ospreys from this year, I thought I'd post one of mine from yesterday. Caught this pair doing a little nesting and mating. D7000, Sigma 150-500 @450mm IOS 400, f/6.3, 1/1000
