This was inspired by a shot I saw on Adamz' flckr photostream. Last spring we had a stretch of very warm weather (70F) in March. When it hit the water (which was still about 35-40) we had spectacular morning fog. I shot a bunch of geese and cropped to create this isolation. Great shots all. Was really enjoying Winter on the forum...now we get to see Spring!
Haven't taken any flowers yet this Spring, so I pull this from the Archive. So here's a tulip with an early attempt with off-camera flash, with in living room, but f/36 basically blacked out the rest of the room.

@msmoto- I think I like this crop version of your racing motorcycle dude better. It's so sharp for how fast he must be going. You can even clearly see the thermal distortion from the exhaust! I love this shot!
@adamz- I attempted this same shot years ago on Merritt Island Florida and I was chased for about 50 yards. I don't think I will try it again. Great shot and congratulations on not getting chased or eaten!
@Coastalconn- not sharp enough? looks pretty darn sharp to me I need to get a Tammy!
@msmoto - I really like that crop. As was pointed out above the heat shimmer from the exhaust is incredibly evident. An amazing shot.
@Coastalconn - Love both of those last two shots. The posed Peregrine needed a bit more time in make-up to fix that bed head I think.
@Proudgeek - That shot is stunning. Looking at it the darker top looks like it is moving like fog would on the lake. Very well visualized and articulated.
@adamz - I like to look of transparency of the teeth. That is definitely the business end.
@Dredden85 - Very nice shot. Love all those stacked pots.
Aviachar, I was in this exact spot a couple of years ago. I'll post a shot of it tomorrow. Between mountain biking in Bolivia and Machu Picchu, this was some trip.

What an amazing coincidence! I was there in 2011 too! Mine was a very short backpacking trip of about 8 days where the majority of my time was spent in Peru since the border road into Bolivia was closed. I plan to go to Bolivia again to see the Salar de uyuni. South America is a landscape photographer's paradise!
@aviachar@ what an amazing landscape! Wonderful shot! Let me guess D800?
Thanks Dredden! Heh heh nope. Just a plain old but magnificent D90 with a kit lens. But it is a blend of 3 exposures. I have recently upgraded to D600 and cant wait to travel again. Wish the US had 5 weeks of vacation like other parts of the world

I like your shot too. The two different light types came out quite well.
