Compared to the 100 Michael is talking about I felt lucky here is the large size that was very close to minimal focus distance and now I know why the first attempts in stacking went so well with this lens and others with dedicated macro lenses were more complicated. Camera was D7000, for me still the best to use with Helicon.
Thanks everyone! @SquamishPhoto I would like to know how you find all the cute ladies too? Some are almost as cute as my birds Sometimes waiting for Ospreys gets boring so I try different things. I really wanted a different Swan Portrait and I caught the head in the shade and let the body blow out.. Nikon D300 * Tokina 300 F2.8 + Tamron 1.4x * 420mm * F11 * 1/500th * ISO 400
Shot a few weeks ago while experimenting with a 10-stop filter. Processed using Silver Efex at -1 EV, although I counterbalanced the exposure on the water and reduced structure.
been trying to get a good shot of one of these for some time now; finally found one out hunting in some decent light. Eastern Kingbird (Tyrannus tyrannus) D7000, 70-300mm, a fair bit of crop Now I just need to find someone close by with an 800mm (and tripod+head!) that I can borrow.

Some are friends, some are co-workers, some are girls I know from the grocery store, some are clients and a handful I know through ModelMayhem. It helps not to be shy.
So many beautiful photos each day! Thanks everybody for sharing.
I'm done with sorting and editing last weekend's long hiking trip through a nice little Canyon at Lac de Neuchatèl. Unusual ammount of pictures leads to a fat trash bin. Here's one that nearly made it into it before I saw too much colour in it.
Here is a photo answer to proud geek: also ND filter, 6 stops. Also retouched in silver efex pro. Shot during sunset. Had lots of problems with hot pixels because of the long exposure.
