Mine for the day : "in contemplation.." Came across this Langur (Presbytis entellus) on one of my treks ... he seemed to be in deep thought .. Regards AM
Found this dead dragonfly and experimented with some VERY macro photography using a 105 plus 35mm and 20mm extension tubes. I wish I'd had a light box to diffuse the sunlight in his eye. I also got some good ones that I'll post some other day with my hand creating shade over the sun.
I tried to store this guy in the freezer for another attempt at a later date, but my wife, who is normally quite supportive of my hobby, drew a very emphatic line at that.

Interesting that on my D90 I'm seeing what appears to be moire (I think), which I thought was prevented by the filter over the sensor. Maybe I'm not understanding all that correctly.
Insect (less than one inch long) on bush in backyard.
D7000, Tokina 100mm macro. I am using the DX D7000 body instead of an FX sensor body so that the 100mm macro lens becomes an approximately 150mm macro lens for a longer focal distance between me and the subject.
@ben_v3 Oh, I want more! The Manitou and Pike's Peak Cog Railway is very cool with lots of photo potential. And if I could be so bold, some shots of the mechanical workings! Even a close-up or two of the rack between the rails would be awesome!
@3:24 I've clicked through to your Flickr pics. Ha! Great stuff! Got any more?
My first attempt at a sequence photo. This is handheld with the camera in continuous high "CH" for a 6 photo burst. Stacked in PS. I learned a lot from this and will have to try it again but maybe with a tripod.

... And no time to use them.

Vienna, Austria. Today, we reached Bamberg, between Munich and Berlin (Germany), very cute town, lots to see. Tomorrow, we should arrive in Berlin.
