I hope to be coming up from Boston Saturday morning to join in on the activities. The weather this week is cold and rainy and it doesn't look like it will change over the next week . Dress warm and expect temps to be in the 40's. It could get better since it's a week away, but it's always good to be prepared for the worst. Maine's rocky coast and it's lighthouses would be a great spot to shoot, especially with a moody sky and boiling ocean. Hope to see you there
Looking forward to it all. I will be in Boston on from Monday till Thursday (heading up on Thursday). If anyone want to meet for some fun by all mean send me a message.

For those of you planning on coming up early this week, I've been watching the weather and if everything breaks right we could be in for a serious storm Tuesday/Wednesday of this week. We're talking historic low pressure and hurricane force winds out at sea (although who knows how the storm tracks). Just be careful if you're driving. For those not from the area, these storms are no joke. My plan is to come up late Friday with my wife, stay with some cousins in nearby Falmouth, and spend Saturday tromping around with you all. See what this storm system brings.
If you want precise wind forecasts I would suggest to go on fishweather.com, I have made the best experiences with them. They predict that you will have the best waves from Southeast on Wednesday afternoon on. If you are weatherproof that should be a great opportunity for "waves crushing into rocks" photos with some interesting overcast. And you will know what the people from New England call a Nor'Eastener.
Ok ladies and gents...one Eagle has landed in Boston. Here is what I have to say so far: Woooohoooo...and followed by Brrrrrr.
Things for those to keep in mind should you make you way to our gathering.
1) Allow yourself plenty of time to get around. The coast is most likely going to get some snow fall on Wednesday. 2) Bring warm clothing. Hence, lair-up. I got in to Boston and it was 16 degree and boy was I feeling good knowing I had the right stuff. 3) A good glove. I got myself one of these and I'm very happy that I did....they rock: Aquatech Sensory Gloves. They are made to be used with D-SLR's. 4) Fog eliminator. This will come in hand for your LCD screen, and more importantly, your view finder. The heat coming off your face and breath will fog it up. 5) Something to cover your ears and face. 6) Spear batterires for your camera might come in handy. As we all know, the cold will have an impact on the charge. Yet, I must say the D4 kicked ass today as I was shooting Harvard University and the general city of Cambridge in 17 degrees.
Will be heading out later tonight after a little rest and see what the night has to offer.
Cheers for now.

I am in Milford, CT, tomorrow in Freeport, and am LOL about the weather forecast. But, for those in attendance, we will have some very interesting activities no matter what the weather. I brought some toys and we can have several workshops on portrait, macro, product, available light, and of course, street photos….in the snow. )
Just spoke to Golf. He's had a rather rude introduction to New England weather. Truth be told, it should climb up into the 40s by the weekend.
40's you say...hmm. Will you be so kind and inform us Southern Californian "normal" "spoiled" (use whatever adjective you like" real temperature will be...when you throw in the Wind-Chill factor. It is that...that kicks your ass. Thank you very much. :P
Never the less, I'm going to "cowboy-up" and head out into the wild and see what DT Boston is like at night.
Weeeeeeeee
PS. And for the record, when I got into Boston at 6:50AM it was 14 degrees.

On the bright side, you should be getting warmer temps over the weekend. I can't wait to see what you guys post!
