Had an unexpected run into high water at the gorge...had to carry my camera bag on my head to save it from the water Made it to the falls safe and sound though.
Is this just a stork? When it comes to birds I am hopeless. That's why this bird came to me! But then I set my ISO way too high. Glad the metering didn't go crazy on me. I like this shot but I wish I hadn't gotten some of those needles from a nearby tree in the shot. That's really distracting. Unfortunately the bird moved away afterwards.
Wow, Peter/Super Admin, nice to see you on the PAD thread! I don't remember the last time I've seen you post!
Nephew and his Irish sweetheart. D800; Nikkor 24-70/2.8 @ 56mm f/5 ; 1/200 ; ISO 400 On-camera SB-910 bounced to wall & ceiling camera left. B&W via LR 4.
Wife and I went out to the Winery today. I don't care about wine but it was nice to get out together. When we arrived I saw this beautiful MG and knew I had to get a shot. This is the only composition I could find to hide all the Prius' and Subarus festooned with bikes on the roof.

@pitchblack, as you know I'm not a person photographer, but I'm always dumbfounded how amazing your shots are!
